How to Claim and Verify Your Artist Profile on Every Platform (2026)

When you distribute your music, every platform automatically creates an artist profile for you — but it sits unclaimed until you take it over. Claiming each profile unlocks analytics, the ability to edit your photo and bio, playlist pitching, and in most cases a verified badge. Here is how to claim and verify your profile on every major platform. One rule applies almost everywhere: you usually need at least one live release before you can claim.

Spotify for Artists

Go to artists.spotify.com and request access to your profile. Spotify verifies the claim through your distributor, usually within a day or two. Once approved you get the blue verified checkmark, full analytics, profile editing, and playlist pitching. Full walkthrough: getting verified on Spotify and the Spotify for Artists guide.

Apple Music for Artists

Sign up at artists.apple.com and search for your profile to submit a claim. Apple reviews it and grants access to analytics across Apple Music and Shazam, plus profile editing. See the Apple Music for Artists guide.

Amazon Music for Artists

Download the Amazon Music for Artists app or go to artists.amazonmusic.com, search for your profile, and submit a claim. You cannot claim until your first release is live. Providing your social media logins helps Amazon verify you faster. Once claimed you get analytics, profile control, and pitching tools.

YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC)

An Official Artist Channel consolidates your music into one verified channel with the music note badge. To qualify you must own and operate a single channel that represents only you (no label channels), the channel name must exactly match your artist name, you need official releases delivered through a distributor, and a minimum number of subscribers. Crucially, the OAC claim has to be submitted by your distributor or label, not by you directly — contact them to request it. Review can take up to 90 days.

TIDAL

Go to TIDAL Artist Home, sign in with your TIDAL account, search for your profile, and submit a claim with the requested verification details. Once approved you can manage your artist image, bio, and view analytics.

JioSaavn (via ArtistOne)

For India's JioSaavn, claim your profile through ArtistOne at artists.jiosaavn.com. You can get a blue tick on your JioSaavn artist page, manage the profile, and see audience and growth insights. See getting your music on JioSaavn.

Do this right after every first release

Make claiming part of your release routine: the moment a new single goes live, claim or confirm your profile on each platform. Consistent, claimed, verified profiles make you look professional, give you the data to grow your audience, and ensure all your music sits under one profile instead of being split across duplicates. Keeping your metadata consistent is what keeps those profiles unified.

Frequently asked questions

How do I claim my artist profile on streaming platforms?

Each platform has an artist portal — Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, Amazon Music for Artists, TIDAL Artist Home, and ArtistOne for JioSaavn. You sign up, find your profile, and submit a claim that's verified through your distributor.

Do I need a release out before claiming my profile?

Usually yes. Most platforms only create your artist profile once your first release is live, so you typically can't claim until at least one song has been distributed and appears on the platform.

How do I get a YouTube Official Artist Channel?

You need a single channel representing only you, an exact name match, official releases via a distributor, and enough subscribers. The OAC claim must be submitted by your distributor or label, not by you directly, and review can take up to 90 days.

How long does verification take?

Spotify is often a day or two; Apple, Amazon, and TIDAL vary from days to a couple of weeks; a YouTube OAC can take up to 90 days. Providing social media details where asked speeds up verification.

Why should I claim my artist profiles?

Claiming unlocks analytics, lets you edit your photo and bio, enables playlist pitching, and usually grants a verified badge. It also ensures all your music sits under one profile instead of being split across duplicates.

How do I claim my JioSaavn artist page?

Use ArtistOne at artists.jiosaavn.com to claim your JioSaavn profile. You can get a blue tick, manage your page, and access audience and growth insights for the Indian market.
